The fine print: The above rates are in Canadian dollars and are valid for October 3, 4, 5 & 6, 2016 only. All rates are net, based on single/double occupancy and are subject to 2% TIF, 4% Tourism Levy and 5% GST. All reservations are on a space availability basis only. All reservations must be made a by September 26, 2016.  Reservations made thereafter may be subject to rate change.


AIRPORT INFORMATION

The closest airport is the Calgary International Airport (YYC), which is 90 minutes away from Banff, Alberta. To allow for adequate travel time, we recommend booking your flight in conjunction with reserving/arranging ground transportation.


CANADIAN CUSTOMS & IMMIGRATION

NEW!! If travelling from abroad, please review the new document requirements for business travelers arriving in Canada that will be in effect as of September 29, 2016.  *Please review these requirements prior to travel as an Electronic Travel Authorization may be required.
An invitation letter is recommended, so we suggest that you print your invitation email and bring a copy with you.  If you did not receive an invitation email, an invitation letter can be downloaded here.  It is also recommended that you indicate that you are visiting Canada to attend a Business Conference to minimize any issues.


AIRPORT HOTELS

If you require an overnight stay at the Calgary Airport for any portion of your trip, the Delta Calgary Airport Hotel is located on site, and there are a number of other Airport Area Hotels available.


GROUND TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS

The following options are available to get from the airport to the conference hotel:

  • Rental Cars - The most flexible option for you.  There are a number of car rental companies are located at the Car Rental Centre at the Calgary Airport, on the departures level across the roadway from the main terminal. Complementary parking is available on site to Banff Centre guests.
    Note: If you are driving, a Parks Canada's National Park Pass is required to stay inside Banff National Park. You can purchase the pass prior to travel on the Banff & Lake Louise website, at the gates upon entry, or at the Banff Information Visitor Centre located at 224 Banff Ave.
  • Shuttle Service - Banff Airporter is the official airport shuttle provider of  The Banff Centre and is the best way to get to and from the Calgary International Airport. DRESS CODE

Casual dress is recommended.  The Symposium program includes evening outdoor activities.  A warm jacket and outdoor shoes are highly recommended.
