Hello,
We are evaluating the D52 starter kit N52DK2,we met some communication problem for the UART.
We used USB interface board to connect D52 module,we found that if we disabled RTS,the ANT ware can't find the device. Is RTS necessary for the UART communication of ANT?
Another problem:we also use VCC/RXD/TXD/RTS/GND for the UART communication,RXD/TXD/RTS connection succeeded,BR1/BR2/BR3 connected to VCC,PORTSEL connected to GND,baud rate was 57600,we can find the USB but not found the ANT+ device.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi,

RTS is required to know when it is safe to send messages to the module.

Are you using a 3rd party USB/UART chip or the USB interface board included with the development kit?

Hi,
I used the USB interface board included with the DK.

To clarify, are you using SimulANT+ or ANTware II to try and connect with an ANT+ device?

Using the USB IF, the modules should work with those apps out of the box assuming they haven't been reprogrammed. SimulANT+ will be able to connect with an ANT+ device automatically.
