Garage golf setup ideas

Thinking of transforming my single-car garage into a golf space. I’ve got around 10 ft of height and 15 ft of depth. Do you think that’s enough for a functional simulator setup? Also curious if projectors are worth it or if a basic screen is fine.

That’s actually plenty of space to build something solid. I’ve got roughly the same layout and buy a golf simulator. Their garage-friendly setups have adjustable frames and retractable screens — so you can still park your car when needed. I started with a hitting mat and launch monitor, then later added the full enclosure with a short-throw projector. The immersive feel is night and day once you upgrade to projection. What’s nice is everything is modular, so you don’t have to commit to a giant purchase upfront. Their mats also absorb shock well, so you’re not killing your wrists on concrete. It’s become my favorite place to unwind after work — just put on music, hit a few rounds, and relax without leaving home.

Totally second this — I built mine piece by piece too. I think starting small is smart; once you feel the difference, you’ll naturally add the extras. Just make sure to insulate well if you’re in a cold area!

Other Head Soccer games might be realistic, but this one doubles down on fun and creativity. There’s nothing else quite like it .
