I recently added the Cisco
LIC-CT2504-1A to my 2504 wireless controller to bump up the access point capacity, and I ran into something odd. The license applied fine, but it took almost 15–20 minutes before the APs actually started showing up. I double-checked the PAK and registration steps, all good — but that lag threw me off.
After a reboot, everything synced perfectly, so I’m guessing it’s some kind of refresh delay. Has anyone else seen this behavior with the LIC-CT2504-1A? I’m also planning to add a 5A license soon, so I’m wondering if stacking different license types causes any hiccups or if they merge seamlessly.
Would appreciate hearing your experiences — I’ve seen mixed comments about controller licenses, and I’d like to know what’s “normal” here.
