What is the most profitable niche in fitness coaching for online clients?

I’ve been running in-person fitness sessions for a few years now, mostly group stuff and the occasional 1-on-1. But lately I’ve been toying with the idea of going online — not just for convenience but to reach more people. The thing is, the internet is full of fitness content, and I have no clue which niche actually works best for attracting paying clients. I was thinking maybe postpartum fitness or working with beginners, but I don’t know what’s oversaturated and what actually pays. If anyone’s made that shift or has thoughts, I’d really appreciate it. I don’t want to waste months creating stuff that doesn’t convert.

I hear you. I went through something similar when I pivoted from general training to focus on helping busy professionals who only had like 20–30 mins a day. That micro-niche ended up working surprisingly well — I wasn’t shouting into the void anymore. If you're still figuring it out, I’d suggest checking out this blog I came across; it lays out different ways to make money from home — including fitness coaching — and offers some cool real-world examples. What helped me most was seeing how others found a balance between what they liked doing and what people would actually pay for. Sometimes it's not about picking the biggest audience, but the one that listens.

Just stumbled on this thread and wanted to say it's cool seeing people discuss the business side of fitness more openly. It’s not something that’s always talked about, but it’s super relevant now that everything’s moved online. Even as a client, I’ve noticed how personalized fitness options have exploded lately. Curious to follow along and see what niches people are finding success in.
