.NET framework 4.0 should be backward compatible with the ANT libraries; which are created using Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 and .NET framework 3.5 Service Pack 1. However, in some systems, this seems not to be the case. Therefore, it is required to use .NET framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 along with Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 redistributable package to be able to load ANT libraries in PC applications.
