Hi all!
I'm trying to convert a Garmin .fit file to a .csv file, but am unsure how to go about doing so. Specifically, I'm looking to gain more information from multiple workouts that I cannot get by performing the standard .csv export on the Garmin Connect website. I was told by Garmin support that exporting the original file to a .fit file and then converting that to a .csv file would allow me to view all the data I need. Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

If you have the original FIT file exported from Garmin Connect. You can drag and drop the .FIT file(s) onto the FitToCSV.bat file included in the "java/" folder in the FIT SDK available on our downloads page

Thanks. I extracted the files from the zipped folder and gave it a try, but it gives me the following error message:

'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Press any key to continue...

Any idea as to where I should go from here?

You need to have Java on your system path variable. The Java website has instructions for how to do this.

The link to the downloads page does not work.

Where can I find the FitToCSV.bat file?

I found the java tool for converrting FIT to CSV:

https://www.thisisant.com/resources/fit-sdk-beta

This is the fit-sdk-beta. Where can I find the alpha version of the SDK with the java tool for converrting FIT to CSV?

https://www.thisisant.com/resources/fit-sdk-beta is the only version of the FIT SDK. The beta part of the name is a holdover from when we were still distributing 20.xx.xx versions.

https://www.thisisant.com/resources/fit-sdk-beta is currently where you are directed from https://www.thisisant.com/developer/resources/downloads/#software_tab when you select the latest version under "FIT".

The link may change back to https://www.thisisant.com/resources/fit/ in the near future.

So the fit-sdk-beta incuding the FitCSVTool in the java folder is not a buggy beta version which needs to be tested? It is a already the best version which ever will be available?

Correct. 21.xx.xx has actually been a production quality build and not a "beta" for a long time even while we distributed 20.xx.xx.

Is THIS IS ANT happy with this confusing labeling of their SDK?
