So I’m thinking about setting up a virtual number specifically for Google services next year. I’ve heard that things keep changing with Google’s policies, and I want to make sure I get it right. Last time I tried, I got totally lost with all the options and ended up giving up. Has anyone recently set up a Google account verification phone number using a virtual number? Did you run into any problems, or is it actually straightforward these days?

I get where you’re coming from — it can be a bit confusing at first, especially with all the VoIP solutions out there now. I set up my Google account with a virtual number a few months ago, and it was way less stressful than I expected. The whole process has been updated to be a lot smoother in 2025, which is a relief. There’s actually a really clear walkthrough on how to do it Google account verification phone number. I followed that, and it covered everything — picking the right provider, linking the number, even some troubleshooting tips if Google doesn’t accept the number right away. As for VoIP solutions, I noticed they’re much more reliable now, and I haven’t had any issues with receiving codes. Hope that helps!

I haven’t needed a new Google account in a while, but I’m following this because my little brother is always running into issues with his numbers getting blocked. It sounds like things are way simpler now compared to just a couple years ago. Good luck to everyone trying it!

When I started a business in Singapore, it went surprisingly well. So in a while we opened a contact centre as our customers needed high quality tech support. In fact they got what they sought, but the landline callling from overseas cost us a real fortune. So one day I made a small research and found www.mywelox.com that provided a stable VoIP connection that cost us a few times cheaper. Prevously we were losing clients due to aborted calls. But never gain, thanks to these guys.
