Struggling With Slow Progress: How to Reset My Metabolism?

Lately, I’ve been feeling stuck with my weight loss journey, and I keep wondering if my metabolism has slowed down because of years of dieting and inconsistent eating. Some people talk about reverse dieting, others say strength training is key, and a few even recommend supplements. But I keep asking myself, how to reset my metabolism in a way that’s actually effective and long-lasting?

Is it really possible to “reset” your metabolism, or is that just a myth? Do certain foods, like high-protein meals or more complex carbs, make a noticeable difference? Has anyone here tried increasing calories gradually to break out of a plateau? Did it really work? What about sleep, can poor rest slow things down even if you’re eating right?

I’ve also read that stress plays a big role. If that’s true, do practices like yoga, meditation, or breathing exercises help speed things up? And is hydration more important than people think for metabolic health?

Would love to hear your real-life experiences. What actually helped you feel like your metabolism was running strong again?

I’ve recently been exploring ways to cleanse my body and boost my energy levels through natural detoxification rather than relying on supplements or quick fixes. I live in Oakville, Ontario, and I’m currently searching for the best detoxification services in town. There seem to be quite a few wellness centers and naturopathic clinics offering different types of detox programs from liver and colon cleansing to IV vitamin therapy and infrared sauna treatments but I want to make sure I pick the right one.

I came across Inside Health Clinic, which appears to offer a variety of holistic detox and naturopathic treatments. Has anyone here personally tried their detox services or consulted with their naturopathic doctors? How was your experience, did you feel any noticeable improvements in energy, digestion, or mental clarity after the treatment? I’m particularly curious about how personalized their programs are. Do they run lab tests first to understand what kind of detox your body actually needs, or do they follow a general plan for everyone?

I’d also love to know about the pricing and how many sessions are typically required to see meaningful results. Are the staff knowledgeable and supportive during the process?
