I recently recorded a podcast with two guests, and now I have three separate tracks with different volumes. When I mix, the dialogues “float” and sound uneven. I adjust them manually, but it takes a lot of time. How do you quickly equalize the voice levels in such recordings? I’m interested in an automatic method, but without the “pumping”.

Balancing several voices manually can be tiring, especially when everyone talks at different distances from the mic. In adobe audition 2025, I like to start with the “Match Loudness” feature, which automatically evens out the levels across tracks while keeping the tone natural. Then I apply a soft compressor with a high threshold and low ratio, just to gently catch the peaks without making it breathe.
