My old desktop’s SSD failed and the system died, but I need the Windows product key that was only stored on that drive for migration to a new PC. I don’t have any purchase emails or printed key; activation was working until the failure. I’m planning to recover data from the dead drive using a recovery service. Are there legitimate ways to retrieve the product key from the failed disk or other official recovery options I should try first?

When a drive fails but you need Windows activated on a new PC, one option is to recover system information from the old disk. Using a kms auto method can help detect the existing key during migration once the data is accessible. After recovering the drive or extracting necessary files, the tool can simplify reactivation on the new machine without having to locate old emails or printed keys.
