For anyone new jumping into ANT development, it really helps to start by reading through the official ANT basics and getting familiar with the ANT Message Protocol and Usage guide that’s the core of understanding how channels, messages, and device communication works. Make sure you also install the ANT USB stick and tools like SimulANT+ or ANTwareII so you can test and capture real ANT data as you learn, it makes troubleshooting so much clearer. Once you’ve got the basics down, experimenting with simple transmit/receive examples first will build your confidence before moving to more complex setups. Does anyone have a go‑to sample project that helped them when they first started?

That is a solid overview for anyone new to ANT, and starting with the basics really helps reduce the initial confusion. Working through the protocol document first makes the later application notes much easier to understand when you begin building or debugging. Which platform are you planning to start with, and are you focusing more on receiving data or creating your own ANT devices?
