Hey folks, I’m trying to get an app developed for my small business. Something tailored specifically to my needs, not a cookie-cutter template. Where do I even start? Do I need a big budget, and how do I find a company that’ll actually deliver what they promise?      

I also needed an app to track equipment across remote locations, as we run a network of workshops in different regions. I thought it would take a huge budget and a lot of questions asked to many people. In reality, it was simpler: the key is to clearly describe from the start exactly what you need, with example use cases and who will be using it. I ended up finding IoT Remote Monitoring team that already had experience with remote monitoring systems—that was crucial for us to track device status in real time. The budget wasn’t astronomical, and then we added features as the business grew.
