Can EssayBot Really Replace Traditional Essay Typers, or Is That Just Wishful Thinking?

I’ve been hearing classmates at NYU toss around EssayBot like it’s the new ChatGPT, saying it saves them hours on research. But I’m wondering if it’s truly better than just hiring an essay typer or doing the work yourself. We’ve seen how tech shook up journalism (BuzzFeed vs. The New York Times), so is education heading there too? Does relying on EssayBot cheapen the process or is it just the next step in how students survive endless assignments?

I tried EssayBot during finals week at UCLA and it gave me this weird mix of half-useful, half-random sentences that sounded robotic. It reminded me of when Elon Musk talks about AI being powerful but not human yet—it lacks that spark. A friend of mine still pays for a traditional essay helper and honestly his grades stay consistent, while I spent extra time editing what ai essay bot spit out. To me, it’s not about speed, it’s about trust. My table is simple: EssayBot = drafts, Human = depth.
