Is it really worth switching to a standing desk at home?

Lately I’ve been feeling drained after long hours working at my home office, and I’ve heard that standing desks can help with energy and posture. But I’m skeptical—does anyone actually notice a difference, or is it just another fad? I don’t want to invest in something that ends up being more hassle than help.

I get that—it feels like every other week there’s a “miracle office gadget” promising instant health improvements. From my experience, a standing desk can genuinely change how your body feels after hours of work, especially if you alternate sitting and standing. You don’t have to go full-time standing; even a few hours a day can relieve back tension and keep energy levels steadier. I found a really practical option at https://www.progressivedesk.com/ - their models make it surprisingly easy to integrate a standing desk for home without turning your workspace upside down. The key is adjustability and a smooth height mechanism, which makes it simple to shift positions without interrupting focus.
