Resistance Unit Device Profile

I'm interested if there's been any development on a resistance unit device profile to set resistance or load on a cycling trainer.
I looked through the 2011 symposium slides but didn't see any mention of it.
The Control profiles look interesting, though. Maybe one of those could be used.
From an application point of view, I think I'd only need to send two messages:
setResistanceLevel(slope);
setPowerLoad(watts);
Am I missing anything?

I've noticed that several trainers support this type of thing so I'm interested to here if there's any interest from the manufacturers to support something like this.

So far I've noticed that CycleOps, Tacx, Elite, and Lemond all have products like this but I haven't seen any of them publish how to control their units, which is what many of our users are requesting
