FIT file with compressed timestamp

Hello,

I am decoding a Garmin FIT file from a Edge 800 device.
I am usign the FIT protocol documentation Rev 1.2.

There are are data messages with local message type 0 that use compressed timestamps. However, there is no preceding definition message which links local message type 0 to a data message. There is only one definition message in the file with local message type 0 and that's the file_id one.

There is a undocumented global message number 22 that appears in the file but I have no idea what it contains.

Any suggestions ?

Thank you

what type of file are you trying to decode (i.e. file_id.type)?

are you sure there wasn't a second definition for local message type 0?

Hello,

Thank you for the reply.
I have been able to solve the compressed timestamp message problem. There were multiple definition messages for the record message, and reading the file is okay now.
The file is a activity file.

Do you happen to know what the message 22 entails ?

Many thanks,
