Hi

Im currently using an ant USB stick and calling the ANT DLL thought managed code (c#)

The data which is returned does not have any paging info(first 2 bytes), only:
--Time (2 bytes)
--Count
--Computed HR

I wanted to check that this was correct or if I was missing something on configuration of the channel.

In my tests this is what I also get for a Garmin heart rate monitor.      

This would be correct for the HRM1B. The earlier version of the HRM did not support pages at all, in fact the first four bytes are just random values that luckily do not change once the battery has been inserted. Newer devices will toggle the top bit of the payload to indicate that the page number can be interpreted. Please see the HRM profile for information regarding the toggle bit.      

Does this mean the HRM1B will return R-R data? Has anyone proved this?

I have a 3 year old HRM1 which only has the one page, but I need an HRM that gives R-R readings so I can measure heart rate variability.

Is there a particular Suunto HRM which has more pages of data?

You can calculate R-R any of the HR pages (or the non-toggling page 0)... Refer to the HRM device profile "R-R Interval Measurement" section.

For more reliable R-R calculations, you should have your receiver set to receive at 4Hz.

Suunto HRM is ANT, not ANT+.

HRM1G and HRM2 support multiple pages.
