Hi,

Is the fit1e modules available to developers? I can't see it in the component list. Has it been replaced by one of the other modules ?

Hi Dan,

Yes, FIT1-e's are still available. You can purchase a FIT1-e development kit directly from us. It includes the following:

- USB stick,
- Fit1-e mounting board,
- 2X FIT1-e modules
- FR 70 watch foot-pod
- HRM

The cost is $500.

Individual FIT1-e modules are available for pilot runs less than 100 units for $20.00 each.

Sebastian,

Thanks for this info. I can only see "(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)" above, (javascript is enabled), can you repost the contact please ?

Also, a few more questions if I may:

1. Will the fit1e be phased out now the fit2 has been released ?
2. Is the Fit2 available from the same source, or from somwhere else, or not yet ?
3. Is there a note somewhere explaining the use of the fitness equipment demo ? There is a remark on the link that a fit module is required for it to work properly, but I don't understand what this means.

Many thanks,

1. The FIT2 Module will expand the fitness module program by providing ANT+ connectivity for products In the retail market that do not have a need for legacy analog heart rate, and are looking for a cost down in this financially competitive market. It is also useful to fitness machines that currently only use Analog heart rate and would like to upgrade or refresh the product with cloud connection and additional ANT+ sensors. It does not replace the FIT1-e.

2. It is available from all the same sources that FIT1-e was accessed.

3. The FE Demo does not emulate the functionality of the FIT1-e or FIT2, rather it connects to and exposes the functionality of these modules. This means that you need to have a FIT1-e or FIT2 connected to the PC for this software to work (as opposed to a regular ANT USB device). Please contact email address above for dev kit details.

Sebastian,

I now have the FE dev kit, apologies in advance if I have missed anything on this site, but:

1. Is there a guide specifically for this dev kit ? I can't see one, and there are a number of things which are not obvious, e.g.

a. Which way round the fit1e plugs in to the interface board - would rather not destroy it instantly
b. How the fit2 module is to be connected to the interface board, given no matching headers
c. How the fitness equipment demo is used once you have the dev kit.

2. I can't find the datasheet for the fit1-e. It is referred to in other docs, and the fit2 version is there, but not the fit1e.

3, Is there example code for the display (watch) side of the fitness equipment operation, i.e. the opposite of the FE demo

Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Dan
