Ant+ Demo not finding device

I plug in my USB stick and start up the ANT+ Demo, while wearing my Timex heart rate monitor. When I click the icon for the HRM, it just goes into searching mode and gives up saying "Device Offline". My Timex watch (Ironman Triathlon) is picking up the signal and displaying data just fine.

Since the app starts up and searches, and the USB diagnostic reports everything is fine, I thought it should "just work". I am completely new to ANT development, so go easy on me. I'm a competent programmer, and I'm just looking for a baseline setup to start working from.

Garmin USB stick
Motorola Razr M
Android 4.1.1
ANT Radio Service 3.4.0
ANT USB Service 1.1.0
ANT+ Demo 2.6.0
USB Host Diagnostic seems to indicate everything is capable:
Verdict
OS support: Yes
3rd party apps: Full

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

It sounds like it's behaving normally, if your sure that it's an ANT+ heart rate strap then it should have found it.

Did you try selecting "Pair HRM" in the menu? It resets the device number to "0" which is a wildcarded search (it will connect to any HRM it can find).

Cheers,
Harrison
