Hello, iam doing a project that i will need to use a tanita bc1000 , and get all the values from it, i was reading the forum and i have a doubt about if its possible to get all the data directly to my application since i read that only the weight its visible. Iam fairly knew to ant+ just started a few days ago so iam sorry if its a silly question.

Absolutely not a silly question.
According to the ANT+ Weight Scale profile, a weight scale device need only transmit body weight to be called "ANT+ compliant". And this is what the BC-1000 does. Body weight is transmitted in an ANT+ profile compliant message, all other data (body fat %, ...) are transmitted in Tanita specific messages.

If I remember right, Tanita have later on released another ANT+ enabled weight scale model, which transmits all - or more - data in ANT+ profile compliant data pages. I even don't remember, where I've read this.
--> try and search and/or contact Tanita

My university only has access to this scale, thats why iam really needed for that information since i dont have much time.

Hi Leandro,

OMB is right, that most Tanita scales only send weight using the ANT+ standard. The rest of the data is sent using a proprietary format. If you need to access that data you'll need to contact Tanita to ask them whether they are willing to tell you how to interpret it.

It's also true that there's one Tanita scale that is an exception: the BC-1100F transmits all of its data using ANT+ so you can get body composition etc from that scale.

Leandro, where is your university? Are you from Europe?

Sadly, the BC-1100F is not available in Europe. The only scale (which measures body composition and transmits data in a 100% ANT+ way) we can buy from here is the HMM smartlab fit+. I can't find any other option!
