Hello. I have a Garmin Vector and I am attempting to decode the Capabilities message (0x54) using ANTware II. I've observed three different values for the "Advanced Options 4" field: 01, 3B and 91.
Granted, since bits 1-7 are reserved, only the initial bit matters (and is 1 in all three cases), but according to the ANT Protocol & Usage document (v5.1):
"9 Appendix A – ANT Message Details
9.1 ANT Messages
A summary of the various messages that comprise the serial interface between ANT and a host is provided in section 9.3.
Note that all multi-byte fields are little endian in ANT messages. Additionally, all reserved bytes are set to zero unless otherwise stated."
Has anyone else noticed inconsistent reserved bit values with the Vector or any other ANT/ANT+ device?
