Right Power Sensor Missing

Hi All,

We have developed an ANT+ bicycle power meter that can be used with either one or both cranks fitted with torque sensors. When it is used with only the left crank fitted with sensors, it responds to a Crank Parameters request with the Sensor Availability Status of 01 - Left Sensor Present. Unfortunately, when a Garmin Edge 510 detects the crank it pops up a warning message stating "Right Power Sensor Missing". I don't know if other head units also display this warning.

How do other single sided power meters, such as the Garmin Vector S or Stages, avoid this false warning? Is there a was to suppress the warning? Or is the recommended action to mislead the head unit with either a Sensor Availability Status of 11 - Left and Right Sensor Present or 00 - Undefined?
