I have read ANT Message Protocol and Usage document cover to cover.
But I need more details about consumption/time associated with opening a channel. I need to know how a Slave finds a Master. Basically how the Search waveform looks like.
I assume that the Slave opens the receiver for very short time periods to look for transmission. Suppose that the channel period is 1Hz. How often does the Slave sample the channel? For what period of time?
What is the total time spent (typically) by a Slave scanning for a Master broadcast? (assuming standard scanning).
This info is essential to decide whether it's better to keep the channel open or close it if it's idle for a while.
We would appreciate your help.
