Hello dear ANT team,

my company has bought some measurement equipment that uses ANT for wireless communication.
This equipment shipped with a software tool for configuration, requesting measurement values etc.
This software apparently uses

ANT_DLL.dll
ANT_DLL1.dll
ANT_DLL2.dll
ANT_DLL3.dll
ANT_WrappedLib.dll

1) For my understanding: are these the ANT dlls? Or the ANT+ dlls?

2) My company considers developing some software tool for commercial use,
that allows for the connection of said measurement devices to our main software product.
I think, this would require the DLLs above (plus some libs from the device manufacturer,
which are freeware). What license requirements would my company have to fulfill, in order
to use the DLLs mentioned above?

I read the "ANT+ Adopter Agreement" and at the moment I think it would be enough
to become an ANT+ Adopter, download the DLLs and get started. But I am a little unsure,
whether it would be really that easy. Also, I read a lot of Design Tools, Device Profiles,
Documents etc. which I don't need, since our software would communicate with the devices
through the manufacturers libraries.

Could you please clarify the situation to me?
My company does not want to disclose source code,
so we must be careful using open source licensed software.

Thank you very much

Hello Georg,

Correct, you may use the ANT libraries in your code as long as you have registered as an ANT+ Adopter. You do not have to open your source code when using these binaries.
