I have been evaluating the ANT Blaze mesh functions, using both the AA battery modules and the CR2032 battery modules. My development mesh network contains 6 nodes, but deployment will be in the order of 100 nodes.

Is there a rule of thumb for scaling the power demand for a node, when comparing a simple ANT function vs. a Blaze mesh network? I'm trying to determine if coin cell battery is suitable for my application.

Thanks.

Each ANT BLAZE mesh node will draw an average of 5.4mA @3V with a peak current of 8.1mA @3V assuming you use the DC-DC converter (from the "ANT BLAZE Specification" which can be found here: https://www.thisisant.com/developer/components/software-libraries#tab_protocol_stacks_tab)

I'll also direct you to the ANT power estimator: https://www.thisisant.com/developer/components/developer
This can be used to find power estimations for various simple ANT configurationswhich you can use for comparison.
