Storing files in the cloud is common these days, and both Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive are widely used options. It enhances the user's productivity and makes data easy to handle. Sometimes, Users are required to move the data between these drives. We may need to move our files from Google Drive to OneDrive, especially when shifting to Microsoft 365 for better integration with Outlook, Teams, and other Office apps. The process can feel tricky at first, but with the right methods, you can transfer your files easily.
There are mainly two approaches to do this: manual methods and professional tools. If you're going with manual techniques, you can try out Google Takeout. Log in to your Google account, go to Google Takeout, choose Google Drive, and then select Add to OneDrive as the destination. After connecting your OneDrive account, you can begin the transfer.
Another manual method is to download files from Google Drive and upload them to OneDrive. Just sign in to Google Drive, download the required files to your computer, then log in to OneDrive and upload them. This works fine for small amounts of data, but it can take time if you have a lot of files.
If users have large data to move, a professional tool is often more effective. To transfer Google Drive files to OneDrive, we can use tools like Shoviv Google Drive to OneDrive Migration. It can help transfer files in bulk, without size limits, and also offer scheduled migration options. These tools save a lot of time and ensure the process runs smoothly.
So, if you only have a few files, the manual method will work. But for big data transfers, I would suggest using a third-party tool to make the job easier and faster.
