Hi,

I am trying to certify/verify a Heart rate display monitor and is having some problem.

I am using ANT+ Verification Tool - v1.3.4.

the test is SD_0009 Slave Device Burst Test (Bursting test, HRM_SD_0009.ants)

The test claims that I should only see the heart rate 45 but I also see the heart rate 90 (burst data).

From this document:
ANT+ Managed Network Document
D00000693
Rev 1.13
Dynastream Innovations Inc.
Also called ANT_Device_Profile_Heart_Rate_Monitor.pdf

Chapter 6.1 Receiver Implementation Code Example
it is stated that the device should be able to accept all of the ANT data message types:
- Broadcast Data (Message ID = 0x4E)
- Acknowledged Data (Message ID = 0x4F)
- Burst Data (Message ID = 0x50)

The code example also display data for all three data message type.

Is the test wrong or is t the code example?

For some reason I am still not granted access to all documents in http://www.thisisant.com even through my company has a membership, so I can't see if the test is outdated or the document is outdated?

Hi Noerlevm,

Thanks for pointing this out.
It looks like the profile was not updated in this Chapter. Initially the display was to decode all message types, including burst, but subsequently this was changed to exclude burst. So the test is correct, the profile should be updated in next release.

We have fixed membership access for you. The reason why you didn't have it because you didn't go through the steps to activate it (this is done manually as described at : http://www.thisisant.com/assets/resources/Login_Account_Levels.pdf . We are hoping to have this automated in future web editions.

Cheers,

Hi Kebin

Thank you for your fast reply.

I will change the code and rerun the tests.

Now i just needed to figure how to submit the tests result to you.

I have made a rerun and the test HRM_undefined_pages_1.ants only works if I unpair and pair again, if I don't do this the communication with the ANT2USB dongle fails. I guess it is OK to do a unpair/pair?
