ANT+ BIKE POWER SENSOR AND SPEED SENSOR PROFILE

I have been working on a ble and and cycling power meter. I have it transmitting as a power only device over ant and ble. I have an external mcu which is calculating power values and sending them over. It also calculates speed.

Is there anyway to manipulate the cycling speed profile to recieve a precalculated speed value? The equation for speed in the profile description does not seem to be the one used by the bike speed receiver.

. Due to the nature of my device I do not have revolution data. I have opened up a speed channel on another channel- is there any way to have two profiles on one channel?

Which receiver are you transmitting to?

With the existing bike speed device profile, you will have to transmit a faux revolution count based upon a standard circumference to allow receivers to do the calculation from that value instead.

Each bike speed transmitter must run it's own channel, is this a limiting factor for your application? The N5 module for instance running SoftDevice 5.0 may open up to 15 separate channels.
