I am in the process of reading through the documentation but was curious about device profiles. I haven't so far see any of these and would like to know where they can be found.

It would be great if there was an application note that went through and entire implementation example, such as a heart rate counter, including all schematics and code.      

Device profiles, along with sample code, are available to members of the ANT+ Alliance, and can be found on the ANT+ Member Zone of the website.
