I have an application where I will start with 4-6 nodes all communicating with one host. This will need to scale up to at least 100 nodes eventually. I need 3-axis accelerometer data at 4-5Hz, and possibly 10Hz.

- Do the D52Qxxx-A modules allow running custom code to read the accelerometer and transmit the data without having to add a separate MCU?
- If so, what is involved with licensing for this use?
- Is the range of an individual node still about 30m?

Thank you.

- Yes, the D52Q modules are SoC's running a 64 MHz Cortex-M4F you can use with custom application code.
- There are no additional licensing costs for a fully custom application. The module also includes the cost of licensing the S212/S332 SoftDevices. You simply need to sign an agreement which waives the cost of the license when using a D52 module.
- Yes, given a good line of sight and a quiet RF environment, you should still expect to see at least around 30m of range.
