SimulANT+ Log FIle

When running SimulANT+ it creates a log files named as eg Device0.txt which can be used for debugging. A typical line in this is:

1869.765 { 23273593} Tx - [A4][03][42][00][10][00][F5][00][00]

1) What do the first two numbers (eg 1869.765 { 23273593} ) mean / signify?

2) It looks like each time SimulANT+ is run, the new data is appended to the existing log file. Is this correct?

3) If so, how can I make the log file start afresh so I only get the new entries - do I just delete the existing one?

4) What does the "Start Logging" button (top right) do and where does it save the data?

I haven't found any documentation at this level of detail.

Thank you

Hi AntySteve,

1) The first number is the application level timestamp in ms, and the second number is the raw timestamp.
2) Yes
3) Yes
4) The other option is to use "Start Logging", and create a log file set for a specific run. More information on how to use the logging feature is available in the "Getting Your Product Ready for ANT+ Certification" pdf. When you hit "Start Logging", it'll open a prompt where one of the options is to configure the log file location.
