(I) 8 Hz mode is not supported on CTF
(II) The get/set capabilities page is the right way to enable 8 Hz on a CT sensor. Steps:
(1) In the simulated CT sensor, in the properties page, under data pages, in the advanced capabilities data page, under capabilities, ensure that 8 Hz is marked as supported/apply.
(2) From a display device (can be simulated), send an advanced capabilities page with both 8 Hz and 4 Hz set to supported/apply, and with 8 Hz set to enable, and 4 Hz set to disable.
(3) At this point, the simulated CT sensor should begin transmitting 8 Hz data.

Thanks for the information, genuinely appreciated as have limited experience using Simulant+ and not always appreciating the full capabilities and nuances on setting up proper configuration for testing,

I've followed your instructions, but I am still getting a soft of roadblock where it appears the Sensor Simulation will not change to the 8Hz.

From the Display Simulator I can see the following output,
580407468 : Advanced Capabilities page was sent successfully
580407468 : Display currently in 8Hz Channel period, request sent to sensor to change to 8Hz channel period.
580408703 : Received Get Set Advanced Capabilities Page


And on the CT Sensor side I see a
488890687 : Broadcasting...
488967843 : Advanced Capabilities Page Received
488967843 : Error: Requested received to switch to 8Hz channel period but sensor is not configured properly to switch channel periods.
488967843 : Edit the Get Set Advanced Capabilities Page following bike power profile guidelines.

However in the ANT Messages tab, I never see the period between messages speed up to 125 msec, remains at 250 msec between ANT+ messages.

So the question, is what are the detailed parameters which need to be in place at the Power Sensor CT Simulator for it to start broadcasting properly at 8Hz.

Is there a way to force is to Display/broadcast at 8Hz modify the Channel period off the start ?

Also, plese try 2.3.0 of SimulANT+.

There is no way to start the simulator off in 8 Hz - this would be against the profile spec. The get/set command is the only way.

Just managed to get it working with my 2 sticks on single computer, (USBm + USB2 gen1).
Nicely seeing the period down to 125ms after the request

491900062 : Sensor is now switching to 8Hz channel period

(running on Simulant+ 2.3, but appreciate that since I'd run into a bug in 2.2 with CTF values)

Will go back to test with receiver / broadcaster on multiple systems.
