When Garmin RTL is in pairing mode and it receives page 34 with request to not change beam mode (Table 7-43), RTL stli remains in pair mode. Can you explain why?
Here is the he dump of page34 (bytes are numerated from 0 to 7 from left to right):
22 00 F0 01 BD 10 00 FF
As you can see the 6 byte is 0 which according to Table 7-43 means not to change light mode.

However if I modify above request and specify light beam as OFF instead, RTL exit pair mode successfully (LED starts flashing blue instead of purple). But in this case RTL lights goes off which is confusing for the user and I would like to avoid this. Page 34 hex dump:
22 00 F0 01 BD 10 01 FF

     

Ok, it makes sense. However, it is not clear why setting light beam as OFF make RTL exit pairing mode although 5 minutes didn't expire and no button is pressed.      

What is correct way to switch lights off?
According to attached table from ANT light spec, I expect that light beam should be set to Off (i.e. 1) and light mode value does not matter. Is that correct?

To switch lights on, light beam should be set to either Low (i.e. 2) or High (i.e. 3) and light mode to any mode that is supported by this light sensor. List of supported light modes can be retrieved from light sensor capabilities page.
Is that correct?
