I want to transmit filtered acceleration values from an external accelerometer I am building to my Vivoactive 3 watch but there does not appear to be a suitable profile.
How can this be achieved?

There is no such profile as part of ANT+.

What are you intending the watch to do with the accelerometer data? You can create your own profile on the public network using the generic channel interface in CIQ. See https://developer.garmin.com/connect-iq/api-docs/Toybox/Ant/GenericChannel.html

OK Ian, I am experimenting with acceleration as a method of assessing the efficiency of boat rowing.
Are there any examples of using the generic channel?

Note that you will need to use NETWORK_PUBLIC instead of NETWORK_PLUS, and a frequency other than 57.
