The Garmin speed sensor and cadence sensor (PartNo: 010-12104-00 - without magnets) consists of two separate sensors. We plan on purchasing several of these - but before we do - can someone please confirm that they transmit data according to the Device Profile for Speed and Cadence:

Speed: Device Type &H78; - (page formats 0,1,2,3)

Cadence: Device Type &H7A; - (page formats 0,1,2,3)

Thank-you.

Seems like. But have a look at the latest version of the device profile. At least the speed sensor also sends the (new) pages 4 and 5. In fact it mostly sends 5 smile

I've attached a transmission protocol of the speed sensor - if you want to check yourself.
Format is: time ":" 8 bytes payload in hex "==" same in decimal

Cheers,
OMB

Hi!

I moved this thread to the ANT+ section of the Forum as it's discussing details of an ANT+ device profile.

Yes, the speed sensor uses the bike speed device profile. The cadence sensor uses the bike cadence device profile. Neither of them use the combined bike speed and cadence device profile.

Thank you Kat that answers it.

And, thank you OMB for your typical thorough postings.
