Have the drivers for the USB stick already been installed? Can you see the device enumerated in your computer in the Device Manager?
If there is another application that makes use of the USB stick (for example, Garmin ANT Agent), please make sure to terminate it before attempting to use the simulator.

The Sparkfun USB stick is designed and supported by Sparkfun; it uses different hardware than the ANT USB stick from Dynastream, and therefore, it is not compatible with the drivers and libraries used in applications such as the ANT+ Simulator.

Hi Chenna,

can you please provide detailed steps? how do you resolve the Initialization failed problem ? Is there need to install any prerequisites with the simulators?

I have installed the following simulators :
a. ANT+ Sensor simulators v1.600
b. ANT+ Display simulators v1.600

Thanks a lot..

I'm running into the same problem with the Display sim.

Was a solution ever found?

Thanks!

Finally Got a connection!

Make sure you use the correct port number. It can be found From the left hand pane in ANTWare II as the USB#

Thanks!
