During research for a new project, I found references to an "ANT+ Geocache Device Profile". According to this source, it is available to developers in an alpha release:
Yes, there is a geocache profile in development (i.e. in the alpha stage)... To get access to this profile you need to be an ANT+ member, which allows you to have participation in the technical working group (TWG).
