ANT heartrate transmission interference from rubbing clothing

Hi-
I'm using a Garmin soft strap HR monitor that transmits to my Edge800. I know that cell signals interfere with the ANT transmissions (wow, I just rode 4,000 km in the last 2 minutes as passed a 3G cell tower).
But, has anyone found that flapping clothing has interfered with transmission of heartrate data? Specifically it is synthetic fabrics that I've seen this with on at least 5 occasions, resulting abnormally high heartrates.... as though the movement of the fabric is somehow augmenting the electrical stimulus received by the unit and then that is being transmitted... or somehow the transmission is being disrupted.
So I wasnt' sure if it was a Garmin product question or an ANT transmission question.

No experiance of bad reading I can put down to clothing. I have had unusual reading though with a Garmin HR strap. Generaly when decenting quickly on the bike on road. I have been reading some sencible level and then all of a suddon I get a 200+ reading that stays around for all the decent.

I have spent a good bit of time trying to find an explanation with no luck. My reciver unit is my own custom design so that is the obvious thing to suspect but I have not been able to find any issue there. The data I am reciving is all good and the interface is such that I have decided the issue has to be with the transmitter, or my heart....

There are lots of posts in biking forums that report this issue.
Flapping jerseys seem to cause hr transmission problems quite often. I've seen posts where they discuss cotton vs. polyamide vs. polyacrilic ..., tight vs. loose, ...
And if I remember right, I've seen posts of people sobbing that their expensive textile hr strap is worse than the cheaper plastics strap.
So maybe you should resort to those biking forums and try to find answers there.
I myself never observed that. But maybe my jersey is just stuffed too well raspberry raspberry

Btw, if your hand crafted receiver reports these spikes you shouldn't be too harsh with it.I'm quite sure that Garmin GPS devices apply heavy filtering on received data to remove any kind of noise and provide the illusion of a continuous smooth hr transmission. The unfiltered truth is quite different.
