I am planning to develop an application on android and iphone
which accepts the heart rate from HRM (Heart Rate Monitor) devices
which are ANT+ enabled.

I want to make a syn with following devices

1) Wahoo Heart Rate Monitor ( which is ANT + enable )
http://www.wahoofitness.com/Products/Wahoo-Fitness-Wahoo-Heart-Rate-Monitor.asp

2) Forerunner® 910XT

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=142&pID=90671

so far i have downloaded the code of Android API for ANT+ and tried complaining over eclipse. so to implement syn for above listed devices do i need any extra software from manufacturer or i can use Android API for ANT+ directly to implement the solution

Please kindly help , as i am totally new to this and running through lots of confusion even after visiting lot many forum threads.

Hello,

A good place to get started is by taking a look at this forum post here:
http://www.thisisant.com/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,146/func,view/catid,30/id,1316/

You should then get the ANT API for Android here:

i already went through the link that you have posted , but do i need all those things to develop ANT+ support in Android

all the those things includes

ANT+ USB sticks , ANT+ USB Drivers , ANT+ Simulators and all
just to develop Android ANT+ support ?

is it possible start with getting a sony ericsson ANT+ enable handset + a HRM that supports ANT+ + android ANT+ api ?

Yes, you could get started using only those things. It is suggested that you use to ANT+ simulators simply because it provides you with a control to test with. If you prefer to develop with an ANT+ HRM, you can.

The documentation accompanying the Android API also provides more insight in how to get started.
