Hello,

I have tried to search the forum and the net, but couldn't find a answer on this question that make sense to me. What do you think is the possible reasons why phone manufactures choose/choose not to make native ANT+ compatible units? For example, HTC already showed this in 2010 with the modified HTC Legend and then released one model the year after with ANT+ (HTC Rhyme). What happend after that?

Is it expensive/too few users? Does having the compability mess with some other function? Maybe related somehow to avoding adding it for not promoting Garmin? Business opportunity to have people buy overpriced dongles?

How do you think the future for native ANT+ compatible phones? Especially for other manufactures than Sony Ericsson and Samsung that never had it or discontinued.
