CTF Torque Frequency and Torque equations

Hi,
I don't know how to read the equations in section 13.62.2 Calculating Torque of D00001086_ANT+_Device_Profile_-_Bicycle_Power_Rev_5.0.pdf

It says
TorqueFrequency [1 Elapsed Time Torques Ticks Offset]
But, well, division isn't associative is it? 1 / X / Y could be (1 / X) / Y or 1 / (X / Y) which give different results.

Sorry if this is really obvious…I didn't get no formal education…

Cheers

Still unable to fathom those two equations. Surely _everyone_ who has implemented a receiver has had to interpret those equations. Is it (1 / ET / TT) - offset? If so, why not just TT/ET - offset??

Hi Russel,

Thank you for your question. You are correct that division is not associative. The correct way to view this equation is:
Torque Frequency = [1 / {Elapsed Time / Torque Ticks} – Offset]

This gives units of ticks/s, which are the correct units for frequency.
