I'm developing for a client that wants a list of FS compatible devices, but for some reason, I can't nail one down.

First of all, let me make sure I have this right. If a device has FS capabilities, then it can share the files it has stored with a computer via the ant+ stick?

Is it that the device has FS capabilities or has the advent of FS and the ant stick given this capability to all devices that can store files?

Great timing for this question!

ANT-FS describes the messages and methods for transferring stored data files from one device to another, so to use ANT-FS a device does have to be programmed to follow the spec. This gets you 90% of the way to being able to transfer files between any device.

However the ANT-FS spec does not specify the channel parameters to use to connect with a device. Instead these are specified in the relevant device profile: e.g. for a blood pressure monitor, the blood pressure device profile specifies the channel parameters to use to connect. The Weight Scale, Environment, Fitness Equipment and Muscle Oxygen Device Profiles all include the channel parameters needed to establish an ANT-FS session with the relevant device. In addition the ANT+ Sync Device Profile has just been released and describes the channel parameters used to connect to storage devices like sports watches and mobile phones so you can get the files from those too. http://www.thisisant.com/developer/resources/downloads/#documents_tab

We are just beginning the process of updating the directory to show which devices support the sync device profile, but you will find that most Garmin watches do.

I also cant find the updated list of ant+ devices which has ANT+ Sync Device profile.
So that you could download("wirelles") FIT file from device throught ant+.

Which seeems to be an old list is there any official updated list? In product directory there is only 4 devices as result with filtering devices that has sync profile. Does for example garmin forerunner 230 and 235 has ant+ sync device profile? Does all garmin product which are marked with automatic sync has Ant+ sync device profile and i can get .FIT file from thoose?

Only the products listed in the directory as supporting the ANT+ Sync Device Profile support the ANT+ Sync Device Profile. Garmin products do not currently support the ANT+ Sync Device Profile. To retrieve FIT Files from Garmin products, please inquire with Garmin directly on how to acheive this goal.
