Dynastream’s ANT Technology now in Concept2 indoor rowing machines

September 20, 2006 (CALGARY) – Dynastream Innovations Inc. is pleased to announce that Concept2 unveiled its latest version of the popular indoor rower, Model E, housing Dynastream technology.Concept2 indoor rowing machine Concept2 improved on the design of its indoor rower with Model E based on feedback from fitness club owners. A new addition to this latest version is the PM4 performance monitor.

“The Model E’s new PM4 performance monitor is equipped with all the computing power needed to allow up to four users to “link” their rowers together wirelessly and race against each other,” said Concept2 cofounder Dick Dreissigacker. “The action plays out on each rowers screen in real-time throughout the race.”

The PM4 performance monitor uses ANT+ SPORT technology to communicate the data between the rowers. ANT+ SPORT is a wireless network tailored specifically for the sport and leisure market to encourage product interoperability among different manufacturers.

“We are very pleased to have helped contribute to Concept2’s success and leadership role in the industry,” said Vicki Brilz, VP of Wireless Solutions with Dynastream. “By incorporating ANT and ANT+ Sport, the PM4 is interoperable with heart rate belts from Suunto as well as current and future heart rate belts from other leading manufacturers that are enabled by ANT+ Sport.”

ANT is Dynastream’s proprietary 2.4 GHz radio solution which provides dependable high integrity data links on scaleable hardware platforms that are a fraction of the cost and power of conventional 2.4 GHz protocols.

Concept2’s Model E is now available, and can be viewed online at www.concept2.com.
