Hi,
I connected to the Magene L508 bike radar and its light from nRF52840 dongle. I tried to cycle through the light standard modes. Somehow the mode I set and the mode that light reported do not match. Not sure if my understanding of the ant light specification is incorrect or the light manufacturer did it their way.
The light page 02 says: 02 01 16 07 44 F0 00 04
My understanding is: it supports high/low beam, supports 5 modes and from standard modes it supports mode 4, 5, 6 and 7.
When I sent page 34 to set the standard modes from 4 to 7 the lights reported:
Set Mode 4
The light reported page 01: 01 01 4A 00 79 FF 08 2D - current mode 2
Set Mode 5
The light reported page 01: 01 01 4A 00 7B FF 14 0A - current mode 5
Set Mode 6
The light reported page 01: 01 01 4A 00 7C FF 18 28 - current mode 6
Set Mode 7
The light reported page 01: 01 01 4A 00 7D FF 20 23 - current mode 8
I checked if I read the page 01 bytes 5 and 6 specification correctly multiple times. Still do not understand how from modes 4, 5, 6 and 7 I got 2, 5, 6 and 8.
Do the tables 7-7, 7-12 and 7-43 from the ant light specification talk about the same modes? Or the page 34 has some other modes indexing?
Is missing bit 0 description in the table 7-7 important?

They also release update of their mobile app and added new mode to the radar light. So not just fix of the issue I reported
