We were doing some simulation testing using the new 1.8 version of the ANT+ Sensor Simulator. We wanted to see what the weight scale pages 2,3,4 looked like out of the simulator. What we found is that the simulator did not send out any page2,3,4, or not in the correct format. When is the Sensor simulator going to provide full support for the weight scale pages? :(

We were using 1.6 which also did not send those pages.

Thanks.

Hhm, I've used the ANT+ Sensor Simulator to test my sw and I'm pretty sure that it sent out the body composition pages (2ff.).
Don't remember exactly which version, I think it was 1.6.

I am not the engineer who was looking at the issue. However, I believe he was expecting those pages at the location the weight profile says to place them.
From the weight scale profile pdf.
Data Page Number = 0x02 is for data page 2.
Data Page Number = 0x03 is for data page 3.
Data Page Number = 0x04 is for data page 4.

Referencing the thread from the Weight Scale forum page, it is only a specific vendor that puts the data in the 2FF locations.
The profile specifies a different page number.

Ouch, "2ff." was to say "two forthfollowing", i.e. "2, 3, 4" wink
Tanita's BC-1000 scale uses a different page, but not 0x2FF - page numbers are byte values, i.e. at max 0xFF.

Version 1.8 does support pages 2, 3, and 4. However, in order to see these pages, a user profile exchange must occur. If you set up the sensor simulator to transmit, then set up the display simulator to receive (and set it to have a user profile) , you should see pages 2, 3, and 4. You won't be able to see them if you simply set up a transmitting channel, as the sensor requires a user profile to calculate those pages.

Cheers,
