Hello, sorry if this is a very beginner question. I guess that the speed and cadence sensor uses power always the wheel or the pedals spin, but is it possible that does it only uses power when it is paired with a receiver? Thank you.
I imagine that most speed and cadence devices will use power when the wheels/pedals are moving because in most situations you would want them to transmit data at that point. But of course it is possible to build a sensor with an on/off switch, and switch it on only when you care about the data.
However given the small amount of power the sensor would typically draw, it probably isn't worth the effort of including a switch.
Hello, yes it does, thanks, although I forgot to specify that my question was related to the GSC-10 sensor, that doesn't have that switch, so I guess it uses power in rotations. Many thanks.
