Hello I have just bought a Surface Pro X and have tried to connect my ANT+ dongle. The Surface Pro X doens't find the driver, even after trying to install the driver manually.

Can someone help me with this issue please ?

Have you tried installing the drivers from https://www.thisisant.com/resources/ant-usb2-driver-windows/ ?

Dear Ian,

Thanks for your reply. I have just tried (downloaded the files an extracted the, then trying to install) but I have a message that Windows could not find any driver for this device.

It's just like Windows doesn't "see" the drivers in the folder where I have downloaded and extracted them.

Do you have any other suggestion maybe ? Thanks a lot.

Yes I did but it doesn't work. Windows is stuck as it cannot find the drivers...

What brand of USB stick are you using? Can you describe the form factor? ie is it a small dongle that barely protrudes or a long dongle?

You may need to try the USB 1 driver (https://www.thisisant.com/resources/ant-usb1-driver-windows/) if it is an old stick, or from a different brand. Note https://www.thisisant.com/forum/viewthread/6649/ applies to that older driver.

I tried with the usb 1 driver but it didn't work.

I cannot post a picture of my dongle but it is from the brand "onlydroid". If you google "onlydroid ant+ dongle" you will see it.

Do I need to buy another one ?

You may want to reach out to the seller to see if they have a different driver. The drivers shared are written specifically for the ANT+ and Garmin branded sticks we make. Many 3rd party devices seem able to use them, but this is not guaranteed.

https://support.trainerroad.com/hc/en-us/articles/201408970-ANT-USB-Stick-Troubleshooting also has a driver installer and some additional tips and tricks that may help.

Hello Ian I have bought directly from Garmin and received the USB stick but I still doesn't word as I get the same message again from windows that it cannot find the drivers. Are you sure this driver is compatible with the surface pro X ? Thanks, Thierry
